Ethan C.

Ethan is 17 years old and was born with a congenital heart which was not diagnosed until age 7 and required immediate open-heart surgery which unfortunately caused major complications requiring many difficult procedures. He still suffers from complications and every day is a blessing.

When he grows up, Ethan wants to go to UMiami and become a doctor or entrepreneur.

Ethan is passionate about fishing and Chasin A Dream and is one of their most active volunteers.

February 2022, Update from Ethan’s mom:

February is Heart Awareness month so I share some of Ethan’s journey to educate about how important funding/donations is for children with these conditions.
This is a picture of Ethan’s heart surgeon Dr. Redmond Burke he is amazing, skilled, kind, compassionate and man of God and we were so blessed have him perform Ethan’s first open heart surgery. This picture was always a picture of them but today I saw Ethan’s hands holding his surgeons hands. The same hands the touched his heart and changed our lives. I felt incredibly blessed for the doctors and surgeons that have been on our journey but most of my gratitude goes to Dr. Redmond Burke. Today I appreciate you! The sacrifices you’ve made to be the amazing surgeon that has changed so many lives.
