Deneilia B.
Almost two years after Deneilia was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and after numerous bouts of chemotherapy and radiation, multiple surgeries, and two bone marrow transplants, she was declared “cancer free” in May of 2023. Later that month, she rang the bell and by September, removed her port. Denilia and her family were very happy as expected.
She returned to school and was awarded student of the month right away. She then went on to being placed on the principal’s honor roll. Deneilia’s hair began growing and she was again having fun with her friends and family and enjoying her childhood.
On Thursday, December 21, 2023, Deneilia went in to do her regular scans. That evening, the family received a call to get her to Miami Nicklaus Children Hospital immediately because there was a tumor on her brain.
By Friday morning, she had a brain surgery, which went well, thank God, and by Tuesday she’d had surgery to replace her port and a bone marrow aspiration.
Now, the process begins again however we are still trusting and believing God for a divine miracle on Deneilia’s behalf and all the other children facing these vicious diseases.
We appreciate your prayers and contributions. Thanks a lot to all the foundation the help keeping Deneilia smiling, such as Chasin A Dream and the others. Lori Griffith you will never be forgotten, your kindness goes beyond boundaries. Thank you.
Deneilia’s art
A little over two years into this second courageous fight, Deneilia continues to face her treatments with incredible strength. The road has been challenging; on March 4, 2025, she underwent a nerve-wracking surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital to remove a tumor from her right breast. Later that year, on August 7, 2025, she faced a high-stakes, 12.5 hour surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York—a complex procedure that required deflating her right lung to reach and remove a tumor. While those hours felt like a lifetime of waiting, thanks be to God, the surgery was a success.
As of January 2026, Deneilia has just completed another cycle of chemotherapy. On January 23, she will return to New York for a critical set of scans scheduled for January 27 and 28.
Through every mountain and valley, we remain steadfast in our faith, believing in a divine miracle for Deneilia and for every child battling these vicious diseases. We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers and contributions.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the organizations that keep Deneilia smiling, such as “Chasin A Dream Foundation” and the others. To Lori Griffith: Your kindness knows no bounds, and you will never be forgotten.
